Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

This beer poured a sickly cloudy orange with visible beer pulp. It had a quickly dissipitating head. The taste isn’t bad but not really wheaty. It’s rather hard to define. It’s rather bland and quite forgetable. The purported lemon flavor doesn’t show through until the aftertaste. The whole beer is saved at the last minute by the lemon after-taste.

Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a hazy golden color with a bit of head to it. Not too much in the aroma category, but the taste is okay at best. Meh.

12 oz bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008, 4.7 %. Slightly hazy golden color. Grassy and grainy aroma with watermelon, sea air and glue, the arma is slightly off. Sweetish, grainy, honeyish, bready and somewhat fruity flavor with orange marmelade, mango and apricot. No hops. Glue like off flavor.

Golden almost clear with a thick head. Weak wheat smell that is not appealing. Lack of taste there is some wheat there but not much else. It is slightly crisp and refreshful though.

Thanks to akevitt for sharing. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with little head. Mostly a wheaty malt aroma. Light bodied with the typical wheat ale taste with some citrus/lemon near the finsh. Comes off slightly bitter and watery.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy gold color with a thin white head. Citrus scent (guessing lemon from description). Semi sour taste to it as if it is almost a bad beer. Not really what I was looking for but not a bad wheat..

Sounded interesting off the label. First impression after smelling was good. Drank it and did not care for the lemon grass and the sweetness of this beer.

Pours yellow/orange cloudy. very little white head. Aroma is citrus and a grass field. Taste like an even more watered down blue moon. Flavor is all water and citrus/grass. Nothing else. Summer bear for sure. for what it is it’s not that bad.
