| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2008 Sampled on draft at Fat Heads in Pgh Pa this beer poured a dark ruby-brown color with small khaki head with good lacing. The aroma was sweetish and lightly roasty and nutty. The flavor was bitter, tangy and roasty with a hint of maple and light fruity hops. The finish was dry, roasty and lightly hoppy. Better than average for a brown ale in my book. jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2008 Draft. Poured a deep brown body with thin head. Aroma is caramel, nutty. Flavor is the same as aroma with a nice hop prescense. Nice mouthfeel. A really solid Brown Ale. agillespie81 (206), Denver, Colorado, USA

Very apparent nutty malt flavor in the front......subtle hints of caramel. Slightly crisp mouthfeel......sweet malt back. blindeyedbetty (152), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours the exact color of maple syrup with a tinge of ruby red at the sides. Frothy head which quickly dissipates, leaving a delicate lacing. Aroma of toasted nuts. Sweet maple front palate with warm maple malty middle and slightly hoppy finish. Mild aftertaste, drinkable and would be especially nice as an autum ale paired with pumpkin, spice or squash dish and roasted turkey, duck or chicken. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 8, 2008 A bit underated. I didn’t care for this beer terribly, but I think it was pretty solid for the style. It is a brown ale, and brown ales are boring.... end of story. The richness of the maple is evident, which give this beer character. SudsMcDuff (1727), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 7, 2008 wow, very watery!... the dullest most boring beer in the history of ales ... at least there’s no aftertaste ... hell, at least theres no aftertaste, but u need taste to get an aftertaste .... more disappointing than constipation... santos999 (318), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2008 Deep burgundy body with a thin, quickly dissipating off-white head. Smells of maple, brown sugar, dark malts, and stinky, stinky feet. The taste is clean, drinkable, but uninspired. A rather boring malt profile is slightly spiced, but finished way to crisply, leaving a bad aftertaste. Forgettable. esjaygee (1600), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 3, 2008 Hazy orange with a thin quickly diminishing head. Aroma of maple syrup, malted milk and something unpleasant I can’t put my finger on. Flavor is of maple syrup and sour milk and something else nasty I can’t put my finger on. Astringent and forgettable.
