Commercial Description:
A delicate amount of Maple syrup is added to each barrel of our award winning Maple Nut Brown Ale to impart roasted sweetness. This addition balances the nut flavor produced by Munich caramel and chocolate malts used in the brewhouse, producing a drinkable dark amber ale with a relatively low alcohol content. 2000 World Beer Cup Gold Medal & 1996 Great American Beer Festival Bronze Medal Winner

A 12 oz bottle with a notching system to indicate week, month and year it was made on. The beer poured a root beer color with a small tan head . The smell was roasted malts and a sweet chocolate. The taste was very good with a mild malt flavor and a hint of the maple. The carbonation was very good and good lacing. I really liked this beer, a flavorful and easy to drink ale.

Pours dark but clear brown, with about a finger of off white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is little maple and caramel. Taste is smooth with a little bit of the maple coming through as well as some caramel malt. Not that bad, not nearly as bad as some of the ratings.

12 oz bottle via Arctic Liquors Beer of The month club. Pours a clear dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is notes of maple and vanuilla. Taste is quite nice. Very malty, starts with some molasses and maple, some vanilla, some nuts and even a tiny bit of chocolate underneath. Also some nice floral hops round it out. Moderate carbonation. medium Body. Yummy stuff, i like this one!

Bomber: Not so hot. Too sweet, nothing special. Loads of malt, not much balance.

I sampled this beer poured from the bottle, and thought it was going to be very good. It came out a dark amber/light brown color with almost no white head. The aroma was very good, featuring maple, sugar, caramel, and some nutty hops. However, the taste disappointed, it was sweet, but very weak, with low carbonation, and had a pretty dry, empty finish. Overall the beer was slightly wet, but very thin and I was tired of it by the time I finished.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours brown with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, nuts and chocolate. The flavor is fruit, maple syrup, and caramel. Just ok..

Pour is a dark maple brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is hints of malts, hops and a thick sweetness. Flavor is blah. Super sour with nothing really redeaming going on. No maple no nuts just sour milk. Must be a bad of spoiled bottle b/c there is no way any brewer would sell this crap.
