Jun 30, 2006 Unusual. Dark brown with a thick and creamy Guinness-like head. Flavor has very light maple. Flavor is sour; I wonder if it is infected? If it is, the infection is probably helping this beer. Sweet malt finish.

Jun 29, 2006 Horrible. No hint of maple at all. It is possible I got a bad bottle so I am not going to say much more until I try it at a later time. Butt Head was good. This was not.

Jun 29, 2006 The aroma has lightly toasted malt, nuts, and maple syrup with some coffee. The appearance is red brown with a tiny head. The flavor is bittersweet with only a little bit of maple syrup. The palate is thin. The aftertaste is like apricots. Overall it’s not bad but I was expecting a lot better.

Jun 24, 2006 Dark red pour. Essentially no head with this brew. Roasted nut aroma. Lacing is decent and somewhat makes up for the lack of head. Easy drinking beer, thin flavored. However, I do like the way the maple flavor fits with the style. If there was more flavor this would rate pretty well. As is, the score will suffer slightly.
