A deep brown pour met me with aromas of maple syrup, brown sugar, and caramel malt. The flavor was mapley with some brown sugar and cacao hints. Medium palate. eboats (893), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 27, 2005 I had thought highly of this beer for about 3.5 years until this recent bottle I had. Now I know I got a bad batch, because every other time I got this beer it was really good. This time, however, it was sick. I bought a 6-pack and didn’t even finish the first beer before I took it back to the store. The overall aroma and taste was sour, and the sourness overpowered any maple flavor that might have been there. It was really gross; not the tasty maple beer I remembered. I don’t know what happened, but I won’t try it again until a 2006 batch is made. Yard (45), Senoia, Georgia, USA
