The maple is evident in the flavor, but not as prominent as I would expect. The flavor is actually kind of sour with faint sweetness, some barley, and some yeast. Meh, it’s ok. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2005 Bottle. Deep transparent brown with a reddish glow. Minimal head. Sweet nutty aroma with a touch of butter flavored maple syrup. Flavor not as good as aroma, odd minerally quality in the background, kind of like diet soda. Tastes thinner than it feels. Not bad, but aroma promised more. Why in Minnesota do we get assaulted with weak Colorado breweries like this one and Breckenridge, and can’t get decent stuff like New Belgium? argo0 (7018), Washington DC, USA

Didn’t like this one too much.
