Commercial Description:
A delicate amount of Maple syrup is added to each barrel of our award winning Maple Nut Brown Ale to impart roasted sweetness. This addition balances the nut flavor produced by Munich caramel and chocolate malts used in the brewhouse, producing a drinkable dark amber ale with a relatively low alcohol content. 2000 World Beer Cup Gold Medal & 1996 Great American Beer Festival Bronze Medal Winner

strange sugary dog food aroma. very unpleasant. dark amber color. no head. unique but not sure i am a fan. the maple is a good idea but it conflicts with one of the other ingredients.

Dark brown color with no head. It has a nice nutty aroma that’s blended with a bit of earth or even peat. The taste is muddy; not muddled, muddy. Slightly sweet finish, but in the end, it just tasted like dirt.

Dark brown with slight medium light tan head. Sweet roasted malt with a hint of maple, mild nut flavor, different and rather pleasurable. Low carbonation. Best at the brewpub!

Thin head. Red Brown. Raisins in the nose, dark malts and a kiss of maple syrup. Taste is of old instant sanka. Thin w/corn syrups to maple finish.

Ack! I don’t like drinking maple syrup, and that’s all this tasted like. Total drainpour.

Pours brown with a caramel head that quickly dissapears. The aroma smells mostly like nothing at all with a hint of maple. The flavor is slightly sweet but mostly watery and dull. There’s almost no body to this one and it is not good.

Pours a pleasing mahogony brown with a off white head. Aroma reminds me of burnt toast. Flavor is slightly sweet malt with a roasty component. Mouthfeel is thin and somewhat watery. The sweetness of the maple syrup is noticable in the background.

Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of tastes of maple, nuts, light chocolate and caramel. Maple makes itself known in the after taste as well. Medium sweet tasting.
