12oz bottle. Pours a clear, amber-orange body with a finger-width, light tan, creamy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is malty with a lot of vanilla-oak and a light caramel sweetness. Some earth, mild spices, and smoke too. Thick and full body yields a big oak taste, spicy vanilla, a light caramel and smoked toffee sweetness, and a hint of sweet cherries and woody bitterness towards the end. Dry and creamy. Overall, a tasty doppelbock. Lots of oak, but well balanced. Thick and creamy body is nice too.

The aroma is big malt and a touch of tannins and a note of the high alcohol. The flavor is nice sweet malts and a finishing roasty bitterness likely from the malts and wood, not hops. Nice, but not blowing me over.

12oz bottle. Clear dark brown with a hint of red and a light tan head, good looking color, seems light it shouldn’t be that clear, just my opinion though, don’t know why. Malty, some caramel a light toastiness. Sweet, more toast, some sweet dark fruits, couldn’t pick up any oak though.

Appeared clear brown with a red tint and small head. The aroma was sweet and malty with caramel notes. The flavor was malty and sweet with hints of oak and cinnamon. The palate was smooth but average. The oak is really nice in this beer, it is sweet but not cloying.

This poured a copper color with a off white head. The aroma contains some vanilla, caramel, citrus, OAK, and spices. The flavor is a bitch smack of oakiness, is that a word? Kind of a cheap whiskey flavor to it. I also taste some caramel, spices, and vanilla. The oak flavors run over this beer like a pimp would his hoes if he found out they been stealing money. The palate on this beer is way to thin to try oak aging. Overall a boozy mess of a beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a darker but clear amber with a small frothy fine white head. Aroma is lacto, vinegar, sour, brown sugar, yogurt which is actually not offensive is this were a Flemish Red. Flavor follows, acidic, lacto, rich and sweet sugary without flavor, harsh alcohol aftertaste. Sharp fizzy carbonation and a bit sticky.
