Mahogany red, foamy whitish tan head. Aroma is oaky, crisp malts, vanilla, wood splinters, toasted malt. Taste is cocoa, more oak and vanilla, very spicy and woody. Harsh.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor. Dark amber with ruby, small to medium short lasting beige head. ARoma is sweet cherry, tart, so sweet and sour, not a bock at all. Sour, lacto and grain, cherry and red fruit, sweet, alc. Medium to light, active carbonatin. Weird and hard to drink, very harsh all around.

Amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma of oak, maple, vanilla and sweet malts. Flavor is sweet and lightly smokey: more wood, vanilla and maple. Very tasty.

Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, vanilla, toast, and wood. Taste of caramel malts, nuts, roast, toast, faint smoke, and alcohol in the finish.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper amberish/orangish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of vanilla, oaky woodiness, caramel, and a little earthy. Tastes of caramel, vanilla, wood/oak, and toffee.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a mostly translucent amber with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of vanilla, oak, toasted malt, caramel and very light smoke. Flavor of the same, more of a toasty/smoke flavor coming through than the aroma.

12 oz bottle. Clear dark amber with a beige head. Very sweet oaky nose, caramel and something like maple syrup. Sweet caramel flavors, again, very oaky, light toffee. Comes off a bit boozy. Just way too much oak - still, pretty tasty.

12oz bottle 5/24/09 (Courtesy of RSRIZZO)-Pours a hazy amberish brown with a small tight tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, spices, and slight vanilla. Taste begins with oak, spices, and malt that continue through the middle. It finishes with caramel, vanilla, and more oak. This medium bodied brew was quite tasty and it hides the ABV reall well.
