| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Clear dark amber with a beige head. Very sweet oaky nose, caramel and something like maple syrup. Sweet caramel flavors, again, very oaky, light toffee. Comes off a bit boozy. Just way too much oak - still, pretty tasty. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2009 12oz bottle 5/24/09 (Courtesy of RSRIZZO)-Pours a hazy amberish brown with a small tight tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, spices, and slight vanilla. Taste begins with oak, spices, and malt that continue through the middle. It finishes with caramel, vanilla, and more oak. This medium bodied brew was quite tasty and it hides the ABV reall well.
