| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2006 I thought this was a fine little beer. Keep in mind it retails 30%-40% lower then a lot of micro brews. Not much on the aroma side of the street, but the taste and mouth feel is good. It is crisp and clean with a light fruity taste and no bitterness. Finishes with a pleasant after taste. Killer on hot day. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 24, 2006 I had this draft in Colorado and I think some of the reviews are a little harsh. Not a great beer, to be sure, but not bad as an ordinary pub draft. Thin vanishing head with great lacing — appearance is good. Great soft creamy mouthfeel, probably best part of the beer. Sweet amber malts, maybe taste of caramel, with a lightly bitter finish. Some herbal vegetable off flavors keep it from scoring higher. Reading the other reviews, I’m beginning to think that the bottled version must have no charm and must travel very badly! tennisjoel (950), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Bottle. Caramel notes in the aroma, somewhat faint. Amber in color with an average head which retains about half it’s original size. Soapy in flavor and somewhat thin, I detect a slight sourness in this beer, and not a good sour. This has little else to offer. Very bland, and barely keeping me interested. Improves slightly as it warms. The doppelbock is the one TN beer that I would order again. The rest of these haven’t been impressive so far. nick76 (2675), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 29, 2006 The aroma is light but has caramel malt, herbal hops, and dough yeast. The appearance is amber with a small thin head. The flavor has toasted malt, caramel, butter, and lightly bitter hops. The finish has a tiny bit of an alcohol kick (I guess that explains the label). The palate is thin but it’s a lager so that’s ok. Overall I like it a lot. I think it could add a few points by fixing the aftertaste and giving it a stronger aroma. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2006 I find this beer very satisfying. Deep caramel malts with a slight syrupy feel. Its got a robust feel and taste. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Bottle... Clear, deep orange lager with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is of caramel or Munich malts with a suggestion of mint. Excellenty balanced flavor, but mostly bland. Maybe a touch beefy with a hint of caramel. Medium-bodied with an almost creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Finishes astringently. Unoffensive, but no better (or different, really) than Killian’s Red. Chucks66 (84), Beachwood, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 10, 2006 Pours with a big white head, light amber/orange in color. Very light malt taste, bitter aftertaste with a wave of hops. Very thin body, light to drink. waolsen (1223), Littleton, Colorado, USA
