Dark transparent amber with a pretty insignificant white head that is all but gone in a few seconds. Lightly malty up front with a watered down lightly hopped citrus and peach finish. This is really thin. One of the thinnest beers I’ve had. Another beer that if the flavors were intensified, it would be decent. Just too thin and watered down. Nose dull and very subdued, nearly completely malt accented with hints of caramel, munich malt and faint herbal hops.
There isn’t much to describe. A fruity (raisins and plums) and malty sweetness throughout with other notes of caramel and a minute note of spicy hops on the finish. Just plain dull. KAggie97 (2476), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

Perhaps it was the backdrop of majestic mountains of Idaho Springs; maybe it was the cool crisp Colorado air. Maybe there was magic in the air. Probably a bit of all three. This is a goooood beer. I had it from a can, a bottle, and on tap. Good stuff. Can’t wait to get back and have another. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 10, 2004 Tasted in Colorado. Obtained from a beer store in Dillon Co. Tasted in a shaker glass. Appearance is a light golder / amber colour. Thin white sustained head. Aroma is of faint hops and malt, farily muted in non-descript. Flavour is somewhat sweet, has a light hoppy spice finish, but seems to lack the oomph in an American beer of this style. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Pours a clear amber color, imagine that? The aroma is very much like a piece of toast, very bready with some acidic perfumed hops. Mouthfeel is clean and dry, with a bit of off kilter buttered popcorn in the finish.
