January 2009 notched on the label. Pour is hazed golden orange with a one inch off white head. Good lacing coats the glass. Nice looking. Aroma of toasty earthy maltiness with sweet fruit hoppiness present behind that. A bit of woody resin in there as well. Taste is big caramel malt out of the gate, tempered a bit by the resin hops and sweet fruit. Caramel is present in the back. Palate is low carbonation, medium bodied, coats the mouth nicely. Overall a nice take on a style I like. DJMonarch (6845), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Carbonation is a little sharp and bitter. Overall, the beer is refreshing and clean, but not all that interesting. jbye4334 (710), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Decent pale ale. Finhead (74), Illinois, USA
