| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2007 As pale ales go, this one zeros in quite well. Hazy apricot pour with a minmal off-white and decent lacing, I agree with others that find that combination of the hops and grapefruit essences mix nicely.
I’d drink this again.
Sounds like these folks from idaho springs could teach the coors people how to make a beer or two.
They may want to think about spending a few bucks on better labels, though.
The silly comic labels look foolish noelcb (271), Toledo, Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 10, 2007 Easy pour, amber-orange with a thin but persistent head. Nice herbal, grassy, hoppy lemony aroma. Clean, refreshing and grapefruitty, mainly hops with malts definitely taking a back seat. Slightly oily mouthfeel, good solid bitter finish you smell as well as taste. Good blend of citrusy/bright and strong dry hopped characters. BustedFlat (554), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 9, 2007 12 ounce bottle. Shaker glass. Cloudy Orange-amber with a small head. Aroma was pungent floral hops. Taste was dominated by hops and bitterness with some malt. It didn’t balance out well for me. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 8, 2007 I got this because the label made me giggle like a school girl. I know that’s not a good reason to purchase a beer. but I was just starting out on my beer quest at the time in ye ole colorado and I really didn’t know much better. But I made a good choice. tommy knockers! hooo-wah! markas101 (597), Fargo, North Dakota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2007 33 cl bottle, Fargo. Deep hazy amber colour, mellow hop aroma. A little thinner in texture than anticipated and the hops weren’t as present in the flavor as expected but a good beer none the less. mnstorm99 (26), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
