I had this from a 12oz bottle at a friend’s house. This beer poured a rather dark amber; a good bit darker than most IPAs I’ve had lately. It had abundant white head and was an opaque hazy. Aroma was of light and vaguely fruity hops. Not too profound. Taste was more of the same...this is definitely an English Pale Ale, and I’ve tried a number of APAs lately that would benefit from this designation. Not bad. Mouthfeel was pleasant and light, and I found this beer rather drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Sweet, malty, yeasty, orange candylike boozy nose. Flavor is also a somewhat sweet malt with a orange zest twinge. Strange - really doesn’t do it for me.

Pours a one finger white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose. Starts malty with some sweetness, caramel flavor, unusual for a pale, hops are there at finish. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from Chalet Party Goshen, In.

Bottle. Pours reddish gold with dissipating whitish head. The aroma is bread and citrusy hops, some honey, and hints of alcohol. The flavor has cake-like sweetness and plenty of grapefruit. The finish is slightly sweet but leaves a dry earthy aftertaste. The mouth is full but prickly. I’m actually impressed with this one. Tastes much more American than I was expecting.

Nice pour, with an orange-amber hue and a wonderfully stiff, 4-finger whipped head. A sweet candied citrus predominates the nose. The flavors are a bit thin, like the mouthfeel. I pick up some hopped citrus, light citrus candies and floral notes. The finish is a bit biscuity, pale and dry. Overall, a bit bland... nothing really special or stands out.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, and a bit sweet. Flavor is citrus, pine, a bit of bready malt, slightly sweet, with a bitter finish. Simple, but satisfying.

Bottle best by 19 Jan 07. Poured a copper color with a creamy off-white head that left big sticky lacing. The aroma found citrus, floral, and light pine. The flavor was of citrus, pine, spices, and a hint of malts. Medium body with a nice bitterness throughout. I did not know what to expect but this was a decent surprise.
