Nice golden amber, good head retention, lace. Tastes pretty nice, overall the flavors come across a bit watery, yet I love the sessionability of this beer, some slight off flavors do come through. Evoking teases of a nice IPA yet playing the role of a very enjoyable pale ale. Nice little hop tingle. This is a very nice pale ale, for me at least. This bottle was pretty fresh but this was better off the nipple(tap). They do tend to go down very quickly ! buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Pours a medium gold with small head and pretty good carbonation. Seems pretty mild on the aroma and flavor. Not bad overall. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Murky orange/light amber color with a light orange crown. Aroma is sweet orange hops and candy. Flavor is intially a soft biterness, then becomes sweeter with malt, citrus, and some subtle pine flavors. Carbonation and mouthfeel is average. Over all this beer is fairly balanced and easy to drink.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Pretty bland. Looks OK, Amber with a beige head, and kinda smells like rye bread, if you concentrate real hard. Flavor is more sweet than bitter, but really not much of either. mattd017 (51), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2006 I am very unimpressed with the Tommyknocker brews. Pours a light copper brown with a light head that never completely leaves the beer. Leaves pretty good lacing. Smells very piney. Tastes slightly piney, slightly bitter, but nothing too impressive. All in all a marginal beer, but probably the best Tommyknocker beer I’ve had yet. Hangover (769), Atlanta, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2006 Slightly cloudy copper pour with a thin but lasting white head. Nice malty aroma with some citrus and pine hops. Initially the hops prickle and there is a nice pine and malt balance. Then, the middle something happens... just falls flat. Finish is slightly sticky and resinous and pineyness lingers. Meh. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Palate is dominated by hops, very piney and resinous. Slight oxidation. Long sticky finish, somewhat tasteless. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
