| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2006 Pours amber with a thin, off-white fully receding head. Aroma of plums, toffee, and mild grapefruit and citrus from the hops. Taste is not extreme, just normal hoppiness. I wish I could say more, but this beer truly did not strike me as interesting in any aspect. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly resinous with soft carbonation. Tommyknocker has yet to impress me. Jabswitch (215), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2006 Grabbed my first sixpack of this to tailgate at Brewer Baseball game. I went from a taster to a guzzler I have to admit. Never saw it as I drank it out of bottle so can’t comment on appearance. Smelled like a decent ale, a nice balance of bitterness and faint sweetness. The body was slightly flat - I like a little bit more fizz than this one offered. The first sip was pleasing which is always imporant to me. Beer was bitter but tasty - and had a decent kick. waolsen (1224), Littleton, Colorado, USA

Dry, very bitter, strong grapefruit. This is very drinkable and one of their best beers in my opinion beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2006 Slighly coppered gold and fairly clear in body. Dusty white head thats a bit crunchy at first with tight foaming bubbles. Fades to a solid skim always present and nice sticky lacing in thick inky blobs.
Aroma is about the norm for a pale, leafy, pale dry citrus of orange oils and lemon with a dusting of cardboard and pine keeping a drier sense about is waft.
Flavors are clean, fresh, and respectful with a small portion of paled citrusy orange and lemon rounding the palate within a fairly chunky addition of leafy, piney hop character in the center. Nice and light drying finish with hints to hop oils and grasses. Floats off nicely and has just the right amount of bittered grab behind it.
Feel is a lighter medium body but stays pretty steady with no empty areas as the carbonation keeps it thay way from fron to back.
A nice little pale, to my surprise, however, I do remember having quite a few of these when in Colorado a few years ago. So now that I have revisited it, I see why. jeffc666 (1896), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Hazy amber body topped by a medium frothy off-white head. The aroma contains wafts of cookie dough and floral hoppiness. The flavor is fairly bitter for an English styled pale ale. Quaffable but lacks any real malt backbone. The doughiness that was detected in the aroma is absent in the flavor. Medium-light body watery palate. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Amber. Small frothy, off white head. Nose of pungent, resinous hops, a bit of leather, poison, and rubber. Sharp, resinous hops and new shoes. Flavor is more mild and consists of floral, citrus hops and smooth, soft malt. Medium, balanced body. Very nice pale. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2006 Bottle. Decent pale ale. Good hop profile with an okay malt backbone. Light-medium body with grapefruit taste. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Nice hop aroma with a hint of citrus. Tastes like a decent English pale ale should. Good hop presence throughout, some caramel malt in the background along with the pale malts, and just a touch of bitterness on the finish. Good medium body. With a cutesy, bullshit name like “Tommyknocker” and the stupid label, I expected worse. Not bad at all. $7.99 for a six pack at Broudy’s, Orange Park FL.
