bsierra (164), Vista, California, USA May 11, 2008 Pours with an orange-amber hue and a wonderfully stiff, 4-finger whipped head. A sweet candied citrus predominates the nose. The flavors are a bit thin, like the mouthfeel. I pick up some hopped citrus, light citrus candies and floral notes. The finish is a bit biscuity, pale and dry. Overall, a bit bland... nothing really special or stands out.
mnurda (352), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Aug 21, 2008 This was the most palatable from the sampler pack. I would actually try this one again if it was available on tap. gotohelunc (356), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Copper color, big white head. Peppery hop nose and flavor with some honey and spicy notes. Finishes with a nice sharp bite and leaves little residual flavor in the mouth. This one seems to be the best sessionable beer from this rather average brewery. CelticBrew (457), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours a hazy medium coppery color from a 12 oz bottle. Aroma of hops, a bit of grapefruits, ocean water. Flavour muck of the same, lovely, yet balanced bitterness. end taste comes across as Scottish moor grasses, pretty damn good beer, would love to try on tap. bigrond (860), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2008 I liked this beer. It had a real nice finish, dry and slightly bitter. It had great balance with the right enough bite.
Very good pale ale. BeerBaron617 (111), Novi, Michigan, USA Aug 13, 2008 I got this in the Trail Mix multi pack. It pours a IPA-like hazy orange amber with little head and slight lacing. It’s aroma is really grassy, and actually not that pleasant. Upon tasting, the mouthfeel is very light, and the flavor is slightly hoppy with a smokey finish. So far after trying 2 of the 6 from Tommyknocker, I am not impressed.
