Very intense and flavorful porter, notes of chocolate and coffee and with a potent kick of rye towards the finish. Interesting and impressive.

Tap, pours black. Nice taste, low carbonation. A nice beer with chocolate notes followed by a nice malt taste. This reminded me of Old Chub. OC is better, but to be compared is good.

Draught @ Tommy Knocker in Idaho Springs, CO. Deep burgundy color. Pleasing aroma showing an emphasis on the use of rye, along with hints of caramel and chocolate malts. Initially a pleasing flavor of cocoa, raisin and coffee beans is present, until it tames significantly into almost nothing on the finish. If they could have rounded out the flavor a bit more, this would have been great.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a dark reddish black with a small amber head. Aromas of vanilla, spices, honey and a hint of chocolate. Palate was medium bodied. Flavors of coffee, vanilla, spice and a hint of chocolate with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.
