[2525-20091011] 500mL bottle. Fruity apple yeast tea cranberry aroma. Hazy, light brown orange body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter cranberry-apple tea flavour has a nice finish. Medium body. Interesting to try.

2009-10-11. Lightly hazy amber body, beige head. Mild aroma, lightly caramel kissed toasty malt. 6+ Flavour is similar, sweet malt base, dry toasty malt accents, caramel notes. Average plus palate is a touch flat. Likely a pleasant cask candidate. Pleasant, simple, decent session brew. Bottle from the UK c/o Mabel’s brother.

Pours a semi hazy amber brown with a very small white head. Medium sweet aroma with pears, light caramel and nutty. Flavor is very nutty (from the Maris Otter I am sure), malty sweet and a very light earthiness. Low carbonation, light bodied. One of the Best Bitters I have had out of a bottle.

bottle - Poured murky brownish yellow color with thick foaming head that quickly faded. Aroma - caramel apples and sweet pears. Flavor - tasted like the aroma... apples, pears and some sweet caramel malt. Palate - Light/medium bodied with average carbonation. Goes down easy and finish is somewhat bitter. Overall - I am actually surprised by this beer. Paid $1 for this beer and liked it. Its nothing that great but easy to drink and very cheap!!

From the 1 pt. 0.9 fl. oz. bottle marked L8009-13:33. It pours amber-red and a tad cloudier than I would expect with a short-lasting, thin head. Overall the aroma is sweeter with a floral hop background and something akin to apples or pears. It is a full-bodied texture that has a dose of sweet malts and warm bitterness to it. This is my favorite beer style and this one passes the test.

Amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish, malty aroma with a touch of fruit. Malty flavour with caramel, some earthiness and bittering hop finish. Good.
