19641948 (492), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Sep 19, 2006 Brewed in honor of their 10th anniversary. A strong pale ale with plenty of East Kent Goldings hops used. Pours a ruddy copper color with a thin beige head. Modest lacing. Slow carbonation. Aromas have a spicy zing of hops invovled. Some caramel maltiness. Smells just bitter. Flavors are a tad harsh with more of the extreme bitterness to them. Disjointed characteristics wail about. Dry hoppiness. Chalky. Alcohol flares up to ruffle your palate’s feathers. Rough. Moderate body here. Drinkability takes a hit with the bitterness. "Happy" 10th with this?
