Aroma of lightly sweet toasty pale malts with some earthy, bitter tart vegetal notes. Starts lightly malty with some earthy floral honey and nutty notes along with a touch of mint toward the thinner dry finish. Has some off-flavors. TURDFERGUSON (1601), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Good malty nose with a bit of sweetness from the honey. Solid and refreshing with no off flavors. I was impressed with this one. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2008 Updated: Feb 24, 2008Appearance: Clear, light brown body with a full, foamy, white head.
Smell: Aroma of brown malts, honey, and buttery diacetyl. Sometimes the diacetyl works for me, sometimes it doesn’t, this time I’m digging it.
Taste: Butter-basted brown malts and honey with a slight sweetness. Mild spicy bitterness helps provide balance. Honey-butter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Good stuff! I regret not getting to spend more time at Chapel Hill’s Top of the Hill Brewery.
