Commercial Description:
A malty-charactered brown ale brewed with local honey...sure to satisfy! Named after the Chapel Hill baseball player who taught King George V how to throw a curveball. OG: 1.050

Sampled at the brewpub. Light reddish amber with a thin white lace. Good malty nose with a bit of sweetness from the honey. Solid and refreshing with no off flavors. I was impressed with this one.

Pretty good brew here. Definitely some butteryness, a little bit sweet but not overly so. Drinkable and good. Yerm.

Appearance: Clear, light brown body with a full, foamy, white head. Smell: Aroma of brown malts, honey, and buttery diacetyl. Sometimes the diacetyl works for me, sometimes it doesn’t, this time I’m digging it. Taste: Butter-basted brown malts and honey with a slight sweetness. Mild spicy bitterness helps provide balance. Honey-butter finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Good stuff! I regret not getting to spend more time at Chapel Hill’s Top of the Hill Brewery.
