Sampled on draft at the brewpub under the Kenan Summer Lager name. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small head, fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and toasted malts. Bitter grassy hop taste with a grainy finish and light apple and citrus notes. Thin bodied and slightly watery.

From a can at a tasting at Andy’s, forget who brought this one. Pours a hazy golden with a thin white head. Light aromas of grain and hay. Medium bodied and sweet. Finishes with a light bitterness and a bit of sweet grain.

Can: Light golden with a white film of head. Clean/dry aroma- bready/crackery, nice. Light and crisp body. Dry flavor with a pale bready dry malt character with crackery notes and grassy mild bitterness. Clean and dry- a great beer to session. I wish there were more simple, well done lagers like this.

On tap at the brewpub. Strange this is not in the premium lager category. Pours a clear golden with a thin white cap with poor retention and little to no lacing. Aroma of lemongrass, sweet corn, faint grassy hops. Taste is clean and crisp with some sweet corn and grain with a bit of lemon peel and grassy hops. Not an outstanding lager but not offensive either. Clean finish. Watery body, fizzy palate.

Grassy, dank, wet, grassy, kind of unappealing aroma. Very vegetal. Sweet, grainy, basic barley flavor, actually pretty nice after the unappealing aroma. Quite drinkable. Not too bad.

Gold pour with a creamy white head and lace. Light paper on the nose and a hint of corn. A slight lemon flavor followed by paper and a bit of funk. A tad thin but what would you expect? Not a bad beer for what it is suppose to be.

Can: Clear gold pour thin head with loads of carbonation. Grainy aroma. Thin bodied. Fruits & sweet malts

Pale Lager rating #1. Opaque gold with a small, quickly dissipating white head. Nose is very sweet and of fresh grass and honey. Flavor is sweet and malty, slight fruit note and finishing in pale malt. Far too spritzy and thin mouth, but this is still a good pale lager.
