nearbeer (1317), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 19, 2008 12 oz. can. Lightly hazy gold with a half-inch of sticky foam that leaves crunchy lacing. Aroma is grain, honey and light citrus. Flavors of lightly soured corn, honey-citrus and dry grain. Light body is nearly chalky dry on the finish and is too bubbly. incutrav (521), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Jul 15, 2008 Nothing wrong with this. Cool can. Easy drinking pale lager, typical smell of corn, little soap. Taste is clean and simple, just like it should be. Nicely dun. demdeac40 (146), Hendersonville, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2008 Cloudy pale yellow with a fluffy head. The nose is light hops, yeast and nice malts. Has a nice full mouth feel with malty undertones. Finishes clean with a slight bitterness. The_Beer_God (2855), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jun 22, 2008 Can. Cloudy gold pour. Nose is grain/cereal, lemon, yeast, grass and toasted malts. Taste is better than expected with strong grassy hops, cereal, toasted malts, soft yeast, and light lemon. Body is medium and moderately carbonated. Seems chewy in spots. Rather thick for a "pale lager". Ends with more toasted malts, cereal, buttery notes, light lemon, yeast and grass. Not a typical pale lager by any stretch and rather drinkable as well. JCB (1058), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jun 10, 2008 Picked up a cheap sixer of this stuff at Whole Foods, Durham. Crisp and pretty anonymous lager, but damn refreshing after a workout on an insanely hot day. What really distinguishes it to me, and what makes it worth a quaff or three, is a very thick body and lively mouthfeel. Not much flavor behind the carbonation, but it’s fine for what it is.
