Picked up a cheap sixer of this stuff at Whole Foods, Durham. Crisp and pretty anonymous lager, but damn refreshing after a workout on an insanely hot day. What really distinguishes it to me, and what makes it worth a quaff or three, is a very thick body and lively mouthfeel. Not much flavor behind the carbonation, but it’s fine for what it is.

Pours clear yellow with a HUMONGOUS fluffy head. Aroma is thin, sharp, and lightly metallic. Mouth feel is moderate. Flavor is sweet, malty, with some metallic quality to it. Dry finish, okay light beer. Could be that this came from a 2-month old can that influenced the flavor.

Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a piss yellow golden with a small white head. Nose of grains, wheat, malt. Flavor is surprisingly unoffensive and much better than expected but it was also my first beer of the night. Even given that fact, I still think this beer is underrated and would make for a good lawnmower beer if sold at the right price.

At the brewpub in Chapel Hill, day after the Will Ferrell show. Not terrible for the style, but lacked a spine in the flavor dept. Yellow pour, fairly crisp finish. Briefly toyed with taking a 6-pack home due to my lager kick, but passed.

Can. Looks like a watery Light beer. Smells a bit more banana-ish than the standard lager. Kind of sour finishing. Honestly, I’d prefer a Bud or Coors to this, despite the extra flavor its got.

The color was light golen. The head was thin, white, and laced a little. The aroma was weird. There was almost a rotting smell to it. The flavor was rotten and old. The palate was thin. The finish was abrupt.

Pours a clear golden with a thick sticky creamy white head. The aroma is sweet, grassy, earthy, and a little sour. The flavor is a little sour and earthy, cornish, not too hot. Says Pale Lager and I believe it.
