Easy drinking pale lager, typical smell of corn, little soap. Taste is clean and simple, just like it should be. Nicely dun. iowaherkeye (1856), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2007 My can says Leaderboard Trophy Lager Thanks to Colin for this one. Hazy yellow straw with a one finger creamy bone white head, pretty good retention, actually. Light floral and citrus hops up front, some sweet bready malts finishing it up. Flavor was a little bit more floral, though the soft citrus is still present. Again, sweet bready malts are about the only other thing. Bitterness peaks around a 2 in the finish. Light body with low to moderate carbonation. Pretty much everything about this beer is subtle, and it works quite well. This was a nice surprise to the boring pale lager category. Would be great on a hot day. That said, it did well on this twenty defree day as well. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA

Light and crisp body. Dry flavor with a pale bready dry malt character with crackery notes and grassy mild bitterness. Clean and dry- a great beer to session. I wish there were more simple, well done lagers like this. Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Thanks to emacgee! Pours a hazy honey colour with a large foamy white head. Initially very active carbonation which died down slightly apon the finish. Nose of yeast, floral hops, caramel malts, grass and citrus fruits. Initial taste is very light bodied, but demonstrates grain and mild hops. Finishing with clean mild malt and wet palate. An extremely light bodied brew which is not usually what I enjoy to drink, but definitely enjoyed this one for sure! puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA

Sweet, grainy, basic barley flavor, actually pretty nice after the unappealing aroma. Quite drinkable. Not too bad. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 30, 2006 Canned as "Leaderboard Trophy Lager". Pours with an whipped eggwhite head, huge and stiff... nice retention and great meringue lacing. It’s yeasty-haze straw lemon appearance goes well with the head. The nose was clean, with only a trace of bouquet, possibly some wheat. Immediate vivacious lemony citrus, with some wheat and a lightly dry-hopped back palate. The carbonation is perfect for the style, and the mouthfeel is light, crisp and refreshing. This is really not bad, especially for a summer brew to cleanse the palate and quench thirst... would make an excellent session beer. I’m not sure why the other ratings aren’t quite as high, but then again I’m the first one rating this under the "Trophy Lager" name. It may have undergone some changes over the past several months. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2008 Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a piss yellow golden with a small white head. Nose of grains, wheat, malt. Flavor is surprisingly unoffensive and much better than expected but it was also my first beer of the night. Even given that fact, I still think this beer is underrated and would make for a good lawnmower beer if sold at the right price.
