dkachur (2317), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 14, 2009 Draft sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy peach color with a small head. Fair head retention and lacing. Faint aroma of bread and spice. Taste is very citrusy and fruity with some bread and spice notes. Medium bodied. wingman333 (233), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 24, 2009 Brilliant orange color with lily white head, served with an orange, this is the best brew at Top of the Hill. Orangy flavor, sweet, only 5.5% but it will pack a punch. Refreshing and addictive. More sweet than dry, a full flavored Belgie. tarheels86 (704), Washington DC, USA Mar 8, 2009 Updated: Mar 28, 2009On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy bright orange with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of potpourri, orange peel, allspice, coriander, cloves. Taste is wheat, orange peel, and spices but is a little cardboardy and requires the orange slice to balance it out.....blasphemy.
Creamy body. Nice, dryfinish. Not bad. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Feb 15, 2009 A nose of corriander, bannana, and wheat. A hazed golden/orange with creamy white head and lace. Light clove and a light misting of orange with a light light bitter. A bit overly aggressive carbonation for me. A very clean well done beer. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 5, 2008 Sampled at the WBF. Pours a pale hazy white with a frothy white head. The nose is very much so oranges, citrusy, light sour wheat, sweet, a tad grainy. The flavor is much more grainy, a little wheaty, citrusy, grassy, orange. The palate is soft and a little flat. chandler0201 (341), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 6, 2008 Pours a golden orange with minimal head. Nice aroma of citrus fruits. Flavor of mild orange and goes down smooth. TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Mar 5, 2008 sampled at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin white lace. Nose is perfumey with citrus, coriander, and peach. Flavor is similar to nose with a very clean and fruity finish. Like several of their beers I tried today, I feel like this recipe must have tweaked a little bit because this was much better than I remember. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Feb 23, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Thought this was pretty good, actually. Sweet, fruity, and refreshing.
