Draft sample at the brewpub. Pours an amber color with a large creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus and floral hops with light toffee. Bitter hoppy taste with notes of resin and citrus along with green apple and faint malts. Thin-medium bodied.

Clear bright orange hue with minimal head. Nose is biscuit, bread malts with east coast hops. Flavor is moderate hop bitterness and grass flavor, solid malt compliment, finishes bitter. Medium-light bodied and watery texture, solid flavor with high bitterness and easy-drinking.

Tap at the brewpub on 2/2/08: Pours a transparent copper amber with a well-lacing froth of off-white head. Aroma of fruity fresh earthy grassy piny hops and some semi-sweet pale maltiness. Starts with a lightly toasty malty sweetness with some dandelion grassy hop flavor and a bitter dry finish. Needs some more balance and refinement.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours fairly dark amber for an IPA with a thin white head. Little retention. No lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, earth, resiny hops. Taste has good balance with caramel malt and citrus hops but the overall taste is walnut and Brazil nut. Watery mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Decent IPA.

Growler courtesy of Durhambeer. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, resin, tea, yeast, earthy. Tastes bitter with some resiny hints, spice, peppery, a touch of sweetness.

A light aroma of grapefurit. A copper pour with creamy off white head and lace. Semi sweet maltiness with a light bitter. A tad foamy but decent mouthfeel none the less. Decent drinker but not very special.

12oz can, thanks wilkie. Large, rocky beige head atop murky dark amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit/orange, some bread. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some caramel/bread, light pine. Medium body, some chewiness, light acidity. Some residual bitterness, but would not be mistaken for West Coast variants.

Can courtesy of sloth, that great fellow ratebeerian of us all. The pour was deep hazy orange to faint copper, generous off-white colored peachy looking head, solid lacing. The aroma was strong caramel and some resinous hops. The flavor was caramel, slightly sweet candy-like notes mixed underneath, along with finishing with pine hops and some substantial spicey hoppy elements. The mouthfeel was a tad on the sticky side, moderately bodied. Not outstanding, yet a decent brew, so thanks to ya, Bertie!
