This IPA pours a medium amber brown color from a 12oz can. Medium sized white foamy head, with good lacing and nice retention. The aroma is caramel malt and citrusy hops. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are citrusy and floral. Nicely balanced IPA. Sweet malts to start and some long lasting bitter hops at the finish. Lively carbonation. I like canned IPAs. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Can. Amber colored pour with a white head, nose of pine and grass. Pine flavors, as well as some citrus. Not a lot of complexity or strength. An ok session IPA, though the flavor gets old quickly.

Do I have a collector’s item since my can says Ram’s head? Either way, A pretty russet color w/ a bountiful head. A hop profile that is not to my liking, but what one would expect for an IPA. No real malt backing.

Medium sized offwhite head, retention is good and the lacing is bountiful, coating and clingy. Clear copper hued ale. Nose is light with caramel malts and faint citrus notes. Body is med/light with a soft carbonation. Light spicey aspects, peppery notes along with some citrus and pine. Dry malty backing. Dry finish with an easy going hop bite. Can received in trade from oldstylecubfan. Thanks Todd!

12 fl.oz can! The can is labeled Ram’s Head IPA, ratebeer says it is the same thing as Davie Poplar IPA- Here it goes: Not much carbonation escaping when popped but pours a nice tall head, honey gold color. Pungent, citrusy hop aroma, sweet malt also. Malty body heavily supported by bittering hops- not a very dynamic hop profile, missing the flavor in the middle. Flavor finishes quickly leaving a bitter, watery mouthfeel. Fairly one dimensional IPA IMHO.

Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a darker shade of amber with a thin white lace. Nose has some definite sourness and maybe even diacetyl that really turns me off. Hops are seriously lacking. Flavor suffers quite a bit as well. For being the brewmaster’s favorite, this sure does suck. By far the worst beer they have on tap. Sad, because it’s one of my favorite styles.

Pint on tap at brewpub. Ok aroma, bittter sweet, grassy & pine with lite toffee/caramel. Clean brownish orange color, good head that faded quickly, good lacing. Bitter flavor, like aroma, some grapefruit come through too. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Alright, appearence was best part, aroma was kind of weak, flavor was bitter, but had no redeeming part to it.

On tap at the brewpub. This is a very different IPA than I am used to and unfortunately it missed the mark. Had almost a cidery flavor overpowering it, and it really lacks the hoppy punch needed.
