Do I have a collector’s item since my can says Ram’s head? Either way, A pretty russet color w/ a bountiful head. A hop profile that is not to my liking, but what one would expect for an IPA. No real malt backing.

Oct 8, 2008 12 oz can, poured a hazy medium dark copper, forming very large foamy head. Aroma of skunkiness, pale water, malts and dirty grass. Flavour of skunk, a bit of floral hops and watery malted bar carpet. Wow, disappointing IPA. Barely finnishable, not recommended for real hop heads.

Sep 1, 2008 Can thanks to OldStyleCubFan. Smells good looks great but kinda watery for my taste. Poured a nice amber color with off white head, some lacing. Arom a of floral hops and malt. Taste weak, somewhat like a beer on college campuses that can be bindged. Watery finish. Interesting can, go Tar Heels!

Aug 4, 2008 Courtesy of Gillard. The can pours clear copper with thin off white head. The aroma is vegetable notes of dry potato skin, dry broccoli spires and carrots fresh from the ground. Hmm. I also get notes of spicy earthy hops and a nutty maltiness. The taste is earthy with streaks of bitter pine and broccoli notes. I guess this is what IPA is like hopped up on earthy varieties. I may need some time to adjust get used to this take on the style.

Jul 27, 2008 Can courtesy of Gillard. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malt, and caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Good.

Light hoppy nose and earthly (vegetables?)
Taste is thick, sugary / caramel with a dry finish.
