JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Dec 27, 2008 Lots of yeast in this beer. Malt aroma, and quite dry for the style. Lacking in complexity, no spices. The alcohol is well hidden. Considerable hops for the style. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Dec 7, 2008 On draft. Pours a golden color with a moderate white head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is very sweet, lots of candy and sugars. The flavor is just right! It is sweet with just the right amount of fruit flavors and residual sugars. There is a slight warming felling at the end with some lingering spice flavors. Very nice. The mouthfeel is a little thin but no worries. This is a very drinkable beer. This one could get you in trouble. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Dec 7, 2008 Growler via trade with tytoanderso - Pours a clear golden color with a medium size white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is esters and spice. Flavor is sweet malt, big esters, and spice. The esters linger on the palate. The sweetness is almost cloying. Medium to full body. A nice beer. Thanks Tyler. tennisjoel (931), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Dec 6, 2008 Normally I am not a huge fan of anything Town Hall puts out in the belgian category but I thought this one was pretty decent. Draft at the brewpub. Pour is golden with active bubbles consistent for the style. Sweet flavor but not cloying. Flavors of fruit namely apricot pear and banana. This is something I would order again. bp (451), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 29, 2008 Draft: orange color, sweet aroma, lots of candy sugar taste which I found too overpowering, much too sweet for me. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 26, 2008 On-tap at the brewpub. Light orange colour with sugary head. Sweet and fruity yeast. Average mouthfeel. Bitterness in the taste. Rather so-so for the style. A sipper, full of bold opposing tastes that restrain dinkability. Sweetnes maskd the alcohol.
Syd (888), Waconia, Minnesota, USA Oct 31, 2008 10 oz goblet like glass appears wine like with no head or lace. The aroma is of spiced ale with some fruity undertones. The flavor is sweet, fruity, plum, and rather pleasant. The pallet is rather broth like and somewhat bubbly. Overall, this is not a bad effort. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Oct 27, 2008 Clear gold color with no head. Almost no aroma, but a little light candi sugar peeks out. Very strong sweet malt taste. Caramel malt and some honey round it out, along with candi sugar. Light floral hop finish.
