On tap at the brewery. Near red in colour with medium carbonation. Moderately citrusy C-hop aromas, balanced out by some dark spice and caramel notes. More of the citrus-spice-caramel combo in the mouth, with a great balance being achieved. Smooth bitterness and mouthfeel. Like jake mentioned, it’s definitely less brash than the fresh hop.

Dec 30, 2009 Poured deep ruby red with nice lasting white head, smell is huge hops and nice caramel/roasted malt finish. Taste is big hops in front, with a wonderful amount of sweetness and roast that gives way to a lasting bitterness. Excellent dark IPA and anniversary ale!

Oct 28, 2009 Dark orange color with a modest sandy head. Hoppy aroma with citrus, florals, and caramel. Flavor is similar to that of the Fresh Hop, but not as bright and just not much going on to really get the palate going. More malty in the back end. Still a better-than-average brew.

Oct 23, 2009 Its not very dark. Its not very IPA like. Its a dark copper with some white head. Light citric hop nose. Pretty balanced all the way around really. Medium body with a bitter finish.
