| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Not quite as nice as Masala Mama, I enjoyed the limited release. Hoppy to see you! Ran into someone I had not seen in a while and shared an IPA. That is what beer is for! BDR (2162), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Hoppy nose with a sweet citrus tinge. Dark brown body with creamy white head. Mild hoppy body with dry hopped finish, kind of bitter without the refreshing characteristic I’d expect from a well done IPA or ESB. Good, but not great in this case. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 8, 2007 Nothing to wild about this, just a real good standard IPA that i can get in a growler! Pretty similar to a Two Heart, but not quite the hope burn out back takes a lot for an IPA to stand out for me these days..... Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Pours a hazy straw-gold color with 2-3 inches of nearly white head. Head dies back to under a quarter inch, but leaves a very decent foamy lacing. Mildly hoppy aroma - tart and spicy.
Wow - mouth puckering very bitter hops. Very tart citrus - like biting into a grapefruit rind. And then holding it there on your palate. And then biting it again. Ouch.
Does that mean I don’t like it? Not at all! I absolutely DO like it. The initial bitter tart citrus hops are followed by a floral-spice hops aftertaste. But you know what - its that tart citrus that lingers. And lingers.
There’s a mild honey malt in the background - but honestly, this is all hops. Juicy tangy mouth puckering deliciously painful hop bitterness. Some hot alcohol in the afterburn - er, um - aftertaste.
In traditional English IPA style, this one was hand-crafted to survive the long, trecherous, bumpy, hot and humid, boatride from England to India - or in my case - in the cab of an ’88 Ford Ranger with no air conditioning - from Minneapolis to NW Isanti County. jazz88 (2237), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2006 Tap from December 2005. A hazy amber orange color with a white head. A fresh malt flavor with a smooth hop chocolate aroma. English style maltiness with bready and biscuts. Rating from notes. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2006 cask version at the ABR. Mostly clear golden yellow brew with an impressive white foam cap. Nose is a cross between a pear and new pair of cotton socks.Thankfully the taste is pure bitter hops. Nice and bitter on the tongue. Good brew but not a great IPA by far.
