Feb 22, 2008 Wintefest 2008. Dark brown color with faint head. Broubon and oak characteristics (vanilla, etc) with some chocolate hints. A very nice beer.

Feb 13, 2008 On draught during the Winterfest 2008 in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a fast dissolving tan head that dissipates clean. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some coconut, bourbon and a touch of coffee. Taste is medium to full bodied, hardly no carbonation with flavors of roasted dark malt, strong bourbon, vanilla and dark chocolate. Finish has a high alcohol warmth with some coffee and bourbon flavors.

Feb 11, 2008 Another RIS farily heavy on the bourban, but nothing like the Fitgers one. Rich and smooth going down indeed, with a good hop presence as well. Good amount of coffee on the pallate as well. Good times.

Heavy bourbon flavor. However, better than the Edmund Fitzgerald BB Stout I had from Fitgers earlier in the night. You can at least taste some of the other flavors such as dark chocolate, vanilla, roast, and cola. Still a little too bourbon dominated for me to rate this really high on the scale.
