bvc (227), Kenmore, Washington, USA Mar 14, 2009 Growler shared by riversideAK. Pours a clear light caramel brown color with good size white head. Nose has a strong nectarine smell with some malt backing. Smell had a fruit cake characteristic to me. Sweet up front, with peach fruit and then into some bitter piny hops. Aroma is really nice on this one but the flavor isn’t quite in my DIPA wheelhouse. Still a fine brew. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Mar 14, 2009 Growler. Thanks, Riverside! Pours a crystal clear rubied medium amber. Pineapple and peach on the nose. Creamy medium body. Biscuity mid-palate with peaches and pineapple. Nice dipa. Tripplebrew (486), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Mar 9, 2009 Pours a clear lemon gold with very little white head. Aroma is citrus yeast with clove and coriander and vanilla. Flavor is vanilla, sugar, yeast and clove. Body is medium. DalzAle (474), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA Feb 24, 2009 On tap tonight. Golden pour, minimal carbonation and a nice rich hoppy aroma. Flavor was incredibly rich, hoppy, syrupy, and a little flowery and fruity on the finish. A solid beer worth trying if you get the chance. MatSciGuy (627), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Feb 24, 2009 [Tap] at the release party. Pours a crystal clear deep copper with a scant beige head. Aroma was a bit hard to gather, but I got a melange of all the hop characteristics I generally look for - grassy, citric, and floral. Flavor is hoppy from start to finish. The beer started out initially a touch sweet, but eventually the bitterness overpowered. Lots of florals and citric grapefruit. The only knock I would have on this beer is that the bitterness is a touch abrasive, otherwise quite good. tennisjoel (931), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Feb 19, 2009 On tap during Winterfest (St. Paul, MN). Amber orange pour. Aroma of citrus, pine, and grapefruit. Boy I really liked this beer! Another highlight for Town Hall. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Feb 9, 2009 On draught during Winterfest 2009 in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of grapefruit, lime zest, some light caramel malt, and a hint of white pepper. Taste is medium to full bodied, plenty of grapefruit and tangerine flavors that overpowers the caramel malt. Finish is semi-sweet and an intense bitterness that lingers after the finish. Also a mild alcohol bite in the finish was present. It’ll keep the hopheads happy. WisconsinBeer (514), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Feb 7, 2009 On tap Winterfest 2009 St Paul MN. Pours a hazy light orange, minimal head. Flavor is roasted malt followed by a deep grapefruit bitterness. Medium bodied, notes of alcohol to finish. Solid.
