Commercial Description:
This is our strongest, darkest and most heavy regular offering. It is virtually black in color and features rich roasted malt flavor with a delicate caramel and vanilla finish. It is carbonated and served with the use of nitrogen gas, giving the Black Water a beautiful cascading pour and thick, creamy foam atop your glass. Made with only the freshest American malts and English hops.

Sampled courtesy of BMan1113VR at Christmas in July, Thank you! Pours a deeper brown black. Nice roasted malt on top of baker’s chocolate with some caramel hints. Real nice!

Growler as an extra from tytoanderso! Thanks Tyler, shared with some people at Lost Abbey. Pours with a black body and a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, leather and roast. Taste is roast, earthy, chocolate and leather. Pretty solid. Creamy body.

Sample at the brewpub. Dark black with a brown head. Slightly chocolately aroma, very roasty and smooth. Nice roasty flavors, more chocolate, very tasty brew.

June 15, 2009 on tap at brew pub. Pours very dark with minimal head. Aroma of roasted malt/chocolate/oats and hint of vanilla. Smooth, thin with good balance. Easy to drink and leaving you wanting another one. Nice stout!

On tap @ brewery. Black water...the name someone matches my experience. Appearance is ebony with just the slightest splinters of mahogany around the edges when held to the light. Tight and creamy latte head produced a number of small ringlets. Flavor and aroma of burnt malt, cocoa, coffee, oat, and vanilla. Also has a slightly lactic/sour quality. Palate is surprisingly thin...a bit more body would have improved this significantly.

TAP: at Town Hall, 2.22.09. Pours a jet black, minimal head. Plenty of roast on the nose, and roast/chocolate taste. Very good stout.

Pretty good stout! Pours black with very little tan head. Notes of smoke, and chocolate. Aroma is roastiness. Sweet, but not cloying. Dry finish.

Tap at brewpub. Pours a deep black with a chalky chocolate with a slight hint of smoke. Flavor is molasses-infused chocolate. Average mouthfeel. Not bad at all.
