Feb 21, 2009 Pretty good stout! Pours black with very little tan head. Notes of smoke, and chocolate. Aroma is roastiness. Sweet, but not cloying. Dry finish.

Feb 13, 2009 Tap at brewpub. Pours a deep black with a chalky chocolate with a slight hint of smoke. Flavor is molasses-infused chocolate. Average mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Nov 30, 2008 Draft: pours dark black, burnt coffee, chocoalte, malt aroma, taste is a bit like sour coffee with some malt backbone, fairly thin mouthfeel for a stout which is always disappointing to me. Still, this was the best thing I had while at Town Hall.

Nov 27, 2008 Well they took this off nitro I am told,though it had the characteristics of a nitro, but more the taste of a tap. The carbonation is good at the Hall. Roasted barley and chocolate smell. It is dark and lacey. An above average mouthfeel, not as creamy as a nitro - chocolate rich. A good stout.

Oct 31, 2008 Vanilla. Light oatmeal flavor in a good way. The caramel is pretty average. The finish is pretty good and roasty. Palate is too thin, but not horribly so.

Oct 26, 2008 Aroma was of roasted malts,you could smell the slight chocolate sweetness,atste was smooth slight chocolate and coffee with a nice touch of dark chocolate sweetness,smooth yet a little on the thin side. Despite the hop beers and tasty food, I was enjoyin the nice malt flavors came through

Oct 26, 2008 Nice dark body with a tan head. Smoky, roasted malts coming up rather nicely in the aroma. Flavor is like drinking a breakfast meal, and in that respect the beer has done quite well. Nice and sweet. A little thin on the body, but otherwise, quite good.

Aug 19, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Nearly black appearance with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Thick mouthfeel, but not as creamy as I would have expected. Drinkable, but certainly nothing noteworthy.
