Commercial Description:
This is our strongest, darkest and most heavy regular offering. It is virtually black in color and features rich roasted malt flavor with a delicate caramel and vanilla finish. It is carbonated and served with the use of nitrogen gas, giving the Black Water a beautiful cascading pour and thick, creamy foam atop your glass. Made with only the freshest American malts and English hops.

It was dark brown in color with a nice head. It had a nice smooth flavor with a taste of coffe. Of all the beers I tried at Town Hall, this was the one I enjoyed the most.

Thanks to hopdog for landing this growler. Pours a dark, dark brown with a large fluffy tan head. The more I poured from this growler into larger glasses the larger and more pronounced the head. Aroma of milk chocolate, tabacco, cherry, strawberry Twizzler and oatmeal. Really a lot going on in this aroma. Flavor was more smokey, chocolate and oatmeal.

Tasted from Growler acquired in trade with kms399 (thanks!). Poured a dark, dark brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas, which increased in coplexity as the beer warmed, of tobacco, smoke, light oatmeal, chocolate, some dark fruits and roasted malts. I got something different everytime I smelled this one. Tastes of chocolate, raisins, and oatmeal. I found the tastes not as complex as the aromas. Smooth body with some lacing.

Dark brown/black with dense, long lasting head of dark tan head. Rum, coffee, toasted oats--a very pleasant mix of sweet aromas. Nice coffee flavor, but not much roast. A bit of a sour note in the finish that is a bit off-putting. Velvetly smooth palate. A great smelling stout, that falls a bit short of greatness overall.

On draught at Town Hall. Imagine yourself on a cold winter night (not that hard up here in MN), with the fire on, sipping this on a comfy couch. What kind of beer would you picture. This one! Heck yah! Nutty aroma. Oatmeal, Vanilla, Licorice, warming...This is one of the best oatmeal stouts I’ve tried to date. Definitely will order again the next time a frequent the joint.

I have misplaced my rating sheet, but I don’t need a sheet to realize that this beer rocks! A very dark beer with large brownish head. Smells of sweet chocalate, roasted malts. Flavor is fanatstic, vanilla finish (I think?). Writing this is making me want another one. Highly recommended.

Nitro tap at the brewery. Chocolate mousse, vanilla, a hint of bourbon and a lot of black roasted malt make the aroma very nice on this one. I know it isn’t bourbon barrel aged, but I pick up that tiny hint in there somewhere. Dark black in color with a slight amber-brown color around the edges and a thin, creamy nitro head. Coffee in the flavor, roasted coffee with some molasses and sweet chocolate cake that is balanced by a small level of black, malt bitterness in the finish. Medium body, slightly dry while remaining almost sweet.
