Town Hall Blackberry Wheat

a tasty, well balanced brew. those who dislike fruity or wheat beers will dislike this as well, because the blackberry flavor is very prominent--though not overwhelming. this is pleasant and thirst quenching. it's very easy to drink too much of... a good, quality session beer that i thoroughly enjoy. another winner from town hall...

Color resembles closet that of tea, or barring that, I'd say a golden-apricottish shade, and the head is milky-white and proudly puffy, slowly simming down to size. Aroma, all fruit, all blackberry, but none too big, just there enough. Wheat malt is tasted, but there's little texture or complexity, nor hardly any hops.Blackberry never flags, yet neither is it forceful. Altogether a very mild brew, no acidity, no bite, just mellow, lightly fruity, and incredibly easy to drink. Not too interesting, either, but it suits it's purpose as a substitute for ciders or cocktails, a girlfriend beer. Odd that they'd debut it in freezing February, rather than July, but perhaps this is a test run.
