Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Oct 5, 2007 The Thunderstorm honey & lemongrass ale, infused and aged with 13 pounds of blueberries.
A 10 ounce serving in a snifter. Full blown purple, with little head.
Tart & fruity nose, big, sweet, & rosy.
Crisp and bold up on top, but thins out a bit after awhile. It’s everything if claims to be, Thunderstorm with blueberries. Loads of fruit punch, then an alcoholic kick.
That’s as far as my notes go...a very nice brew, worth the trying. And savoring.
MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Oct 3, 2007 a rating from this summer:
light brown in color small white head good lacing. Sweet smell hints of honey and a good amount of berry, I guess blueberry but that doesn’t quite come through as I’d expect. touches of bread and sugars. Palate is lightly carbonated and well coated. Flavor is overly sweet.. odd berry piece I just didn’t like on top of honey and some bread.. just not very good.
