DalzAle (476), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA Oct 21, 2008 Updated: Nov 18, 2008On tap at the brewpub tonight (and a few weeks ago at the ABR). Subtle aroma of blueberries. Much like many of their ’fruit’ beers, this one did not disappoint. The slgiht hop flavor was amazingly well balanced with the oatmeal, eventually leaving a pleasant blueberry aftertaste. Wish I could have left with a growler of this tonight. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 30, 2008 Autumn Brew Review 2008. Oatmeal in a pale?! This should be interesting... Dark red color with a thin head. Aroma of dried blueberries. Big, sweet oatmeal flavor. Blueberries stand out nicely and actually taste fresh, not like a bad extract. Light malt base. Some earthy hops, but only enough to balance out the sweetness. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a pale ale, but I found it really tasty and unique!
