Commercial Description:
This American-style golden ale is our lightest, in both color and flavor. Bright Spot is brewed with locally malted 2-row barley and the finest American, Czech and German hops lending a well-balanced, refreshing taste. A compliment to nearly any of our menu choices.

On tap at Town Hall. Pours a mostly translucent golden with a medium creamy white head that left lacing. Aroma of malty sweetness, orange zest, grassy, floral, ginger and tea. Flavor was a mix of the same. The hops were giving off some interesting spicy notes...ginger and a few other ingredients used in Chinese food.

On draught at the brewpub near downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with an average white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and white ring, with some nice lacing Aroma of golden grain malt, some citrus zest, grassy hops and a touch of lemon. Taste is light to medium bodied, lightly carbonated, crisp clean cut with some golden grain malt and grassy hop flavors. Finish is semi-dry, mild bitterness with a crisp citrus zest aftertaste that quickly disappears.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours a clear bright golden with a small frothy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malt and earthy noble hops. Body starts lightly pale malty sweet with a decent earthy noble hoppy bitterness toward a thinner, drier bittersweet finish. A ok golden ale.

Draft on 8/2/07. Clear amber/yellow. Light malt sweetness with some fruit (apricot and pear). Grassy hops make the finish bitter. Not too bad on a hot summer day.
