Sep 27, 2006 Growler. Hazy brown body with a small tan head. Nutty-caramel sweet aroma. Lots of walnutiness in the flavor alongside cherry and tart caramel malt fruitiness. The flavor wraps up with some dry Englishy hops. A nice fruity ESB.

Sep 21, 2006 A decent bitter. Strong malty aroma with caramel and wood, lots of crystal malt. Some fruity hop bitterness. Turns out to be solidly unnoticeable.

Feb 15, 2006 Growler. Deep reddish gold. Soft crackery aroma, malty with touch of wine in the aroma. Attractive malty flavor, soft in the mouth. Background bittering. Rich crystal malt undertones. Good stuff for sure, and emminently sessionable. Now if I only had tried it on cask when I stopped by this weekend...

Sep 12, 2005 light yellowish color w/ a small fairly well laced head. Smells a touch of light carmel and those euro yeasts. Tastes lightly of carmel and honey w/ some grass.. nothing special really but solid.

Sep 6, 2005 Clear auburn with a thin, creamy off-white head. Chocolate-cocoa nose with some smoke, quite nice. Flavor is woody with caramel and cocoa, hops at the end.

Sep 5, 2005 Clear apple juice body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, lemongrass, light honey. Taste is medium sweet, honey, lemongrass, not much else. Light-medium body, some crispness. Perhaps this deserves a new entry, as the description (and earlier ratings) do not match my experience.

Jul 20, 2004 Dark amber color with a mild malt aroma. The taste is very well balanced with hops and malt. A strong wood note permeates the brew. Not a fall-to-your-knees bitter, but a fine one all the same.
