Jun 27, 2007 RBSG 2007 Pub Crawl: One I’ve been wanting to try for a while. Pours a hazy orange copper color with a white head. Aroma, lots of citrus and floral hops. Flavor, caramel and pale malts, with a nice citrusy floral hop finish. Great IPA.

Jun 26, 2007 On tap at Town Hall during the RBSG 2007 Pub Crawl. Clear amber body with a small white head. Sweet floral and citrus hops aroma. Sweet citrus hops flavor with a caramel background.

Jun 23, 2007 RBSG 2007 I suppose it is a great hoppy example, but I dont like hoppies so much. Still wondering why we rate this differently than its cast IPA version. Cast version is somewhat oilier.

Jun 23, 2007 on tap at the brewpub, on the patio the night before RBSG. darkish copper color with a light tan head. aroma of pine hops, some grapefruit peel, a bit of caramel malt. flavor is hoppy and bitter like pine and grapefruit peel again, and balanced by a nice caramel malt finish. lightly bitter aftertaste.

Jun 11, 2007 growler-pours a tight light tan foam head and very hazy amber color. Aroma is good citrus hops then some pine. Taste is good citrus/pine hops, bitterness, medium malt, herbal. Then the pine adds a resiny character. Finishes raw, bitter. Nice and sessionable. OK/mild carbonation.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: Lots of nice grapefruit hops in the aroma.
Appearance: Clear copper color.
Flavor: Lightly toasted barley and grapefruit hop flavor.
Palate: Smooth and mellow.
Overall: A solid and very easy to drink and enjoyable IPA. Very sessionable and thrist quenching.

May 20, 2007 Drank at dark lord day courtesy of someone. Nice citrusy hop aroma but overall the aroma and flavor seemed a little muted. Maybe it was from sitting in the sun for a couple hours.
