This meaty ale is a fine example with biting hops. I would enjoy this one often as it is brewed not far from where I work. bu11zeye (5608), Frisco, Texas, USA

The taste was the same with mild sweetness. This has all the right stuff going for it. The malt and hop profile are very balanced. Very good beer. rudolf (1783), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 6, 2007 Review is based on drinking from growler, but also had on cask and regular on tap from the brewery. First growler experience. Its like losing your virginity to a super model!
Colour- perfect, clear copper. Prototypical IPA colour. Fluffy off white head (which had excellent retention)
Nose- a fresh pine forest. Beautiful fresh hops in this one! The smell was the best part of this drinking experience. I could sniff it for days and days..
Taste- pine, citrus, juicy hops. There is a bitter dry finish, but not astringent. Solid malt backbone. Toasty caramel malts. Just enough to be balanced , but they know where the top billing is. Hops. Not sure what kind of hops- can only tell there is some (lots) high alpha acids suckers in it. Outstanding beverage and lived up to its high billing. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2007 sampled at DLD - This amber colored brew has a very good citrus hops aroma. The flavor is a well balanced blend of citrus and pine hops flavors supported by some caramel malts. Medium bodied, this beer finishes with the expected lingering hops bite. Very good IPA. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

What a rare treat, check out Hogtown’s rating for the story behind it. Nice slightly dark orange and a good sized white head. Inviting hop aroma, slightly fruity, citrus, and some malt. Nice. taste is wonderful - very hoppy, but not overwhelming, ridiculously drinkable. Slightly acidic, wonderful sweet finish. Wow, a stunning IPA, loved it. swoopjones (1919), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 1, 2007 Growler courtesy of Hog Town Harry. Enjoyed @ Coles Buffalo NY with Hog Town Harry, tupalev, Rudolf & blankboy. Very excited to finally taste this. Not disappointed. Deep orange color with great IPA aroma. Floral hops, citrus. Not at all a hop monster but rather a extremely well balnced ipa. Medium body but smooth malt flvaor blends well with the hops. Great IPA wish it was available in WNY. Thanks Harry!
