| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 12, 2007 Pour is a hazy amber orange. Pure white, 1.5" head of foam that begs to be slurped. Citrus. Grapefruit. Orange. Grapefruit. Tangerine. Grapefruit. HOPS!!!! Some pine. More grapefruit.
Taste. Hops. Citrus - yes. But also floral and just a bit spicy. There is a subtle maltiness that is a bit sweet. Probably just sweet enough to balance those lovely floral citrus HOPS!!! It is bitter, yes, but also fruity and floral and spicy enough not to be dominated by the bitterness. The maltiness is there. It is prevelant, and can stand on its own, but for this number - it is willing to be the rhythm section backing up the brass and lead guitar of the hops. Nice full bodied mouthfeel. The hops (with grapefruit and all of the subtle variations) lingers. TheKegergator (241), California, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jan 31, 2007 The smell was very strong upon opening the growler. On another note, why do they call it a growler? I always thought a growler was "to take a dumb". Anyway, this was a very good beer nice strong flavor to it and very smooth aftertaste. There is a little kick to your taste buds in it. Very good brew. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Similiar to the cask version in color and aroma, but the flavors seemed to be a little more hop dominated, and the piney floral aspect shined a little bit more. jimbowood (964), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 24, 2007 Pours a dark amber with a dense one finger head that fades very slowly to a thick cap. The lace that’s left behind nearly covers the entire inside of my glass.
Smell; lots of pine tree going on in here with some grapefruit, oranges and lemons all thrown as well. There’s a nice bready, almost caramel malt presence in the background. As this warms the citrus aromas become much more pronounced.
Taste; The pine needle hops are very present in the flavor, as they are in the aroma, but the citrus is a bit more dominant. Grapefruit and orange peels, as well as a bit of lemons all come out after the pine needles followed by a nice caramel and bready presence.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability; the mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, and seems the fit the hop profile of the just about perfectly, and the drinkability is just incredible. I could easily drink this all night long, and I think I just might do that tonight. This beer makes me wish I lived closer to Minneapolis

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Growler. Poured a hazy copper color with a small beige head. Hop foward aroma. The hoppy notes had that dirty and earthy character. Some buttery notes underneath. The flavor was sweet and malty with grapefruit rind from middle to the long finish. Semi-dry with a medium body.
