Styles (1653), Taylor, Michigan, USA May 20, 2008 Cask, May ’06. Dark copper, nice off white head, nice lacing. Has a huge in your face citrus character. Orange, tangerine and grapefruit dominate, decent malt background. Flavor is a little bit of a let down after the aroma. Nice balance of citrus and caramel, but par for the course for ipa’s. Nice mellow mouthfeel.

Pours a hazy, orange-gold with a thin beige head that laces nicely. The nose is of bright, fruity, citric hops with a nice, almost nutty, malt backing. Light to medium-bodied with a nutty, bitter-hopped finish. The flavor follows the nose with a nicely bitter, resinous finish. This is an interesting IPA; quite nice. Thanks again for bringing this back from the Minneapolis, Eugene! JMFG (1173), Florida, USA Aug 22, 2008 Sampled from growler @ RBSG, thanks to whoever brought this. Clear amber color, thin white layer of head. Spicy hop profile, balanced between earthy and citric. Nice clean and refreshing citric hop kick that lingers for a while. Refreshing and well done.
