Pours a clear rich copper with long-lasting foamy white head that lines the glass with lots of lace as you drink it down. Aroma packs your standard bitter American-IPA notes of pine and grapefruity citrus. Surprise, flavor shows the same and with good sweetness to back it all up. Not the most well-balanced combination of flavors but it’s still pretty good. Strangely smooth palate. Pretty good.

Dec 8, 2009 Growler, this was the first IPA that i called my favorite IPA. Pours an orange golden body with a white head. Fresh citrus, tangerines and a lovely floral hop tones. In better than perfect balance with domineering hop tones, pine y fresh hoppiness and a sweet citrus finish. Phenomenal.

Dec 6, 2009 Growler thanks to bret27. Copper colored with a lasting white head. The aroma has a nice spread of fruity hops: peach, pineapple, citrus. There is also a sweet floral side and a hint of caramel. The flavor is mild on the bitterness, which is a little more apparent than IBU numbers might suggest due to a strong bready, crackery malt side. Fruity and floral hop flavors blend in pretty well, creating a pretty balanced overall package. Lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Lots of malt flavors for an IPA, with just enough hops to balance them out, but it is not a sweet beer, adding to a very drinkable, almost session-like presentation for the style. I would peg this more like a hoppy pale ale, but a fun beer with an interesting mix of flavors for the style.

Dec 6, 2009 Poured from growler, copper in color with a medium white head. Nose was citrus, pine,hops; Beer was smooth, nicely balanced in taste, bitter, yet a little sweet, medium bodied. Good IPA.

Dec 5, 2009 Growler (thanks to Tweety for sharing this)... Poured a nice amberish, hazy orange with a thick, beige head. Solid, balanced IPA with a subtly, soft carbonation, low bitterness, musty, earth-like hops and a buttery malt balance.

Nov 18, 2009 The Dan Journal #292. Tasted 9/10/09. Growler bottled and purchased 9/3/09. Thanks Keir! Mildly hazy with a golden hue. Ring of lacing bone white head. Bright hoppy aromas with hints of citrus. Touch perfumy and peppery. Full bodied beer. Multi-layered hop palate. Earthy and resinous. Big palate with lingering flavors. Totally tasty.

Nov 13, 2009 Cask. RBSG 07. Clear amber, lasting white head. Fresh, floral, lightly skunky and resinous hops, a bit spicy. Lightly sweet pale malt background. Medium, cask level carbonation. Easy drinking. From notes.

Nov 10, 2009 Quite a pleasant beer. The bartender made sure to mention this is their most popular style. Deep golden amber color with a small head, aroma has strong floral and citrus tones. Huge grapefruit flavor, definite citrus. Sits quick on the tongue and fades nicely. Very drinkable.

Nov 10, 2009 Growler from my fatasy baseball league victory... Thanks Cory from BeerAdvocate. Had this one sit in my fridge for 3 weeks. Finally bust it out for my bachlor party. Still damn good after the 3 weeks. Poured a hazy amber color with nice fluffy head, and good lacing. Smell of strong ass grapefruit (just the way I like it), hops and more hops. Taste is similar, very smooth drinking this, kinda didn’t want to share it but I did. This is a well balance IPA. They should consider bottling this and making money off this gem. I’m number 300 for this beer, kick ass!
