On-tap at the brewpub: Very nice and bright scarlet toned amber hue with a dense small capping of dullish white crunchy foam. Tons of lacing decorates the glass with the forms of broken paisley swirls and spots. Pleasing aroma of firmly present citric toned hops of dull lemon, duller orange, most dull grapefruit, and some melonyness. All on top of a big malty waft of chewy caramel and breadish pale malt. This is one that grew on me as it went along as its malty carriage of sweetness underneath really helps the hops make for one super creamy deliscious, dullishly delicate in citrus, excellently fine drinkin’ ale. The hops make and mark a wonderfully mild tone of melony citrus flavors with just a peak of pithy bite and tug of bitterness at every finish. Other then that, the creamy malts really shine in this one. Feel is clean, crisp, smooth, and a creamy as all get out medium body with only a pinch of finely tuned bitterness of mild citrusy stuff and pine in the finish. Another fun hopped up ale from Town Hall. Very akin to the single hopped pale ales. Its bigness catches up to you eventually and you may slow down your session as I did, but that first glass goes down with ease.

amber color with white head. Hippy nose with plenty of citrus. Similar taste but with an almost vegital pine to it.

Out of the growler and into an Urthel tulip glass. Beauteous crimson coloring, lightly hazed, with an exceptionally solid creamy white head, small bubbles, slowly popping off into the sunset. Aroma is fairly quiet, but utterly loverly, faint, but flowery, some minor dark fruit notes, cherries, grapes...watermelon... Taste: aggressive blast of hops, bursts on the palate, bright and scrumptious fruit...and then comes the buzz of bitterness, riding and gliding along the tongue and swimming around the corners of the mouth. Delicious stuff! Not too punishing to the senses, and the higher alcohol doesn’t really enter in...not yet. Mouthfeel is luscious, bright fruit, bouncing hops, happily at play in the mouth...I didn’t get the hops used, nor the IBUs involved, or any malts employed, maybe I’ll check next time I’m at the pub. But whatever the ingredients, no matter what the elements, the final result is best described as "yummy." Flavorwise, fairly similar to Sierra Nevada Celebration, but not too far away from good old Masala Mama. I’m taking this to Thanksgiving. It’ll be a good match for cranberries and turkey with gravy.
