Pours a hazy amber color with about half an inch of white foam. Adequate but not stunning head retention and lacing. Mild aroma of wheat - I don’t pick up yeast or spice or anything else. Clean tasting beer with good wheat - a little sweet, a little dry and earthy. The malt flavor reminded me of rye or spelt, in fact it reminded me somewhat of Saison De L’Epeautre. Not that Summer Solstice is like a saison - it isn’t - I am just commenting on the wheat/malt flavor. The flavor is quite interesting, and I plan on more research... Medium body, pretty full tasting, and actually a bit bigger than I expected. Generously carbonated, this beer is refreshing and overall interesting and tasty.

original notes, 6-16-05 Thoroughly hazed pale orange coloration, solid creamy white head, sits a spell in this pint glass...sets the tone well... Aroma: orange and lemon, light spices, full fruit, some peach and apricot, maybe, very friendly and sweet, some hops and juicy malt, too... Taste: big, brisk invasion on the palate, quickly fading, but never truly flagging in flavor. Nice yeast, medium-bodied, amiable and likable, and, again, abundant with tasty fruit. Ideal for summertime consumption...the 4th wheat beer of the season this year at Town Hall, and perhaps my favorite? Refreshing, but not merely a thirst quencher, this one rewards with abundant taste...nice hops, nice malt, very delicious, a real winner, once more.

Vibrant Honey/Yellow coloring with Whipped White Head. Citrus Aroma. Initial Citrus Hit, Then a Solid Hit of Wheat with a Dry Wheat Aftertaste. Very Average Summer Brew.

Cloudy yellow/amber body with a thin white head. Smelled like a typical wheat beer, tasted like a typical wheat beer. Smooth and light palate. Good beer, but not great.

Hazy yellow color with a thin head. Can a beer smell tangy? Well, if it can, than this does. Tasted of bitter wheat, but almost with a hint of lemongrass. It was missing the citrus of the typical wheat, but it was pretty appealing.
