Big hoppy nose, vibrant grapefruit, orange, and mango, fresh, flush, fruity. Niceness squared.
Taste it, a bitter, fruity blast...more of those same found in the nose, blasted upon the palate. Full-bodied, long finish...very full in flavor, very long bitter, hoppy, fruit-drenched finish.
Big malt, too, to match the extra-hoppiness, but just enough to match the extra-hoppiness. Not stronger in alcohol, though, a mere 5.5%. The IBUs are ungiven, but it feels much bolder and hoppier than the previous, much-admired Centennial PA.
I loved that one. I love this more...almost as good as Masala Mama...maybe?

Jun 25, 2007 RBSG 2007. The beer pours to a glowing amber/copper colored body with a thin white head and nice lacing. A super slow carbonation. The aroma is catty it’s got so much centennial hops in it. The flavor is malty and crisp up front and has a nice centennial kick on the back end. Simple but very well made. (Like JW Lees is to it’s style). Very malty. Seems like Maris Otter. The palate is crisp and refreshing. Bitter lingering on the palate. Very nice.

Jun 23, 2007 RBSG 2007. Copper color with no head. Lots of orange and grapefruit in the aroma. These ramp up to bombastic proportions in the flavor with a fair amount of piney hops as well. The malt is certainly there and tries to balance it out, but a hop monster this be. APA? More like an IIPA minus the insane alcohol.

Oct 4, 2007 Draft @ Brewpub: Copper color, light head and lacing. Nose of earthy fresh grassy hops, wet leaf, citronella and vanilla, pale malt. The flavor is nutty and thick with a cottony mouthfeel, super dry and sweet with some hops. Thick and chewy, but not too thick to prevent enjoying. Nice.

Jun 28, 2007 RBSG 2007 Pub Crawl: Poured a clear copper color with a white head. Aroma, bright citrus and pine hops with a little bit of biscuity malts. Flavor, pale malts up front with a nice citrus and floral hop finish. Very nice pale ale.

Nov 20, 2007 Draft @ Brewpub. Orange-red pour with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit and other citrus and light sweet malt. Flavors of citrus, light pine and grass hops and subtle sweet malt. Medium body, bitter/bright/sweet with a bitter finish. A damn fine APA.

Jul 16, 2007 Out of a sampler at the pub at 07 RBSG. Light amber color with a thin off white head that left attractive lacing in the glass. Nice fresh hop nose. Caramel sweetness with grapefruit, peach and apricot flavors. Sharp, crisp hop finish. Nice beer.

Jul 16, 2007 RBSG. Pours a hazy deep copper with modest carbonation and a fluffy white head. Aroma is fresh clean centennial, lightly grassy, but mostly citrus, hints of pine and sappy. Good hoppy mouthfell with a good harsh bitterness, clean with mroe pine and citrus notes- ok malt backbone but this one was loaded with hops. Nice IPA/APA.
